Check the number of owners for the bike, The more the number of owners the more the risk. |

Check all documents and if they are genuine and the name of the seller/owner as are representated to you. |

Start the bike, and check for exhaust smoke colour (dark colour indicates engine wear), engine noise and any other vibration. |

Check the condition of front and back tyres, Also check for any cuts on the sides of the tyre. |

If you have a mechanic, Take him along with you to check the condition of suspensions, clutch, engine, exhaust and body. |

If the bike has a self start, check the battery and start the bike using button start and kick starter. |

Check if the petrol tank lid closes tight. An improper lid can reduce the mileage of the bike due to petrol vapourisation |

Check any dents and misalignment of the body which indicate the possibility of an accident. |

Check if all tools required are available, for replacing the tyre, cleaning the spark plug and additional tools as required. |

Finally check if all the lights such as headlamp, tail lamp, brake lights and indicator function in a normal manner. Check High and Low beams in head lamp. |
